Tifawine is a kasbah retreat on a 20.000m² estate, just outside a quiet and tiny village near Tamesloht – at 16,5km from Marrakech.
Guests enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience at this dreamy location, boasting stunning views on the High Atlas. Tifawine’s luscious gardens and pool area make it a true oasis – a serene hideaway, with plenty of spots to relax or take a nap under the shade of a palm or olive tree. The light, sounds and scents of North Africa will overwhelm and bewilder.
Tifawine consists of 6 spacious rooms and a separate family suite. Each room offers an en-suite bathroom and private terrace, adjacent to the gardens. Hotel amenities further include a patio, a bar and restaurant, a swimming pool, a hammam and an extraordinary 360° roof terrace facing the magic mountains of The High Atlas.
Private transfers from and to the airport (30minutes away) or anywhere in Morocco can be arranged.
With earthy tones, natural textures and a mix of local artisan and Berber handicraft, all Tifawine rooms hold en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, WiFi and are connected to the patio & the garden.
Our homemade meals are served daily, always based on local produce and vegetables & herbs from our own gardenand the local farmers. On Tuesdays, there’s no lunch or dinner as our cook takes a day-off to prepare next week’s menu. Of course, guests are welcomed to share any dietary needs or preferences and meals are served anywhere guests like – on their private terrace, in the garden, at the rooftop – or simply in the restaurant.

For over fifteen years, Hannelore Caspers and Kris Vogeleer have been passionately in love with, and are inspired by, Morocco because of the culture, the people, the colors, the scents, the light – and above all the slow living approach.
After having worked in the fashion industry for nearly two decades, Hannelore switched career to become an interior consultant. Kris still works in fashion today and shares Hannelore’s fondness for interior design and creating a unique atmosphere. Both avid entrepreneurs, the couple recharge their batteries in Marrakech each year and in 2018 they made the decision to embrace their Moroccan connection and acquire a kasbah on an exceptional location, where they can offer their guests all aspects of this authentic and resourceful way of living. Four years later, they found the perfect hideaway with breathtaking views on the Atlas Mountains only thirty minutes away from the busy Medina district. Tifawine is born.
At the heart of Tifawine lies Hannelore’s sense of aesthetics in mixing colors, materials and objects. Implementing traditional craftmanship in every aspect of the kasbah results in an intensely cozy and earthy ambience.
The couple’s main purpose in founding this retreat is twofold: sharing the love for Morocco and giving back. Hannelore and Kris decided to contribute profits to the local people and communities. Tifawine organizes local agricultural projects, contributes to the local school and helps Berber families in the mountains in making their artisanal handicraft accessible to the European market. In the entire six-month reconstruction and decorating process of the kasbah, only local craftsmen, farmers and friends were involved.
